What it is
Patio roofs
A non-insulated aluminium patio roof system with glass or polycarbonate roofing.
Role in the project
Terassendach
Terassendach is a non-insulated patio roof for terraces and similar spaces.
What to consider
Purpose and limitations
Terassendach is intended for unheated spaces. A heated conservatory with year-round thermal comfort calls for a suitable insulated construction.

- none
- Infill, subject to the exact configuration
- polycarbonate, single glazing or a double-glazed unit, depending on the version
- Span and depth of the structure, subject to the exact configuration
- according to the chosen profiles, supports and structural calculations
- Rafter spacing, subject to the exact configuration
- about 80 cm, based on the stated design assumptions
- Reference snow load, subject to the exact configuration
- 85 kg/m², based on the stated design conditions and a deflection limit of L/200
- Pitch, subject to the exact configuration
- 5–25°
Key points about the system
The manufacturer’s reference example uses 10 mm laminated safety glass, rafters at 80 cm centres, a snow load of 85 kg/m² and a deflection limit of L/200. For the structure we offer, sizes and loads are checked against the chosen profiles, the supports and the structural calculations for the site.
